The Surgery is closed on normal Bank Holidays.
The next closure will be 25th December 2026 (Christmas Day) and on the 1st January 2027 (New Years Day).
Extended Access Service
The practice offers extended hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings between 18.30pm and 20.00pm and on a Saturday and Sunday mornings to assist patients who have difficulty attending appointments at other times.
Please note, Saturday opening hours are done on an alternative week basis (09.00am – 17.00pm or 09.00am – 12 noon).
Please note these appointments are pre bookable and not for emergencies.
Appointments until 20.00pm are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at either Ampleforth or Sherburn & Rillington Practices. To book a late night appointment at these practices, please contact the GP reception team at Derwent Practice.
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Urgent Care Centres
The urgent care centre in Malton is open from 9am to 8pm, 365 days a year for patients attending without a pre-booked appointment via 111.
Outside of these times you can still call 111 and they will arrange for someone to see you during the night at Malton Urgent Care Centre.
The urgent care centre in Scarborough is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To ensure you are seen as quickly as possible, please book an appointment by calling 111.
